Celebrate the Life and Legacy of John and Lillian Lewis
We hope you will join us in our effort to ensure that, for many years to come, ordinary citizens will have the tools they need to create their own version of Good Trouble. Funds raised by the Gala will support our key programs and initiatives:
- The B.R.I.D.G.E. Program (Building Resilience, Inspiration, and Driving Generational Engagement) fosters civic participation among high school students by providing essential tools for educators, administrators, and students.
- The Good Trouble Training and Development Initiative connects rising changemakers with transformative experiences in domestic and international peacebuilding. Through partnerships with institutions such as the Robert F. Kennedy Foundation, the United States Institute of Peace, the Douglass-O’Connell Global Internship, Spelman College, and the Georgia Institute of Technology, we equip emerging leaders with the knowledge and skills needed to continue Congressman Lewis’s work on a global scale.
- The John R. Lewis Archives will serve as a living tribute, preserving his life’s work and ensuring that his fight for justice continues to inspire future generations.
- The Good Trouble Neighborhood Grants and Scholarships initiative recognizes grassroots organizations making a difference and awards scholarships to students who embody the spirit and values of Congressman and Mrs. Lewis.
- The Good Trouble Talks spotlight individuals who have dedicated their lives, art, and work to breaking down barriers and building bridges across divides. These conversations celebrate, educate, and inspire the next generation of leaders.
We will have an impressive line-up of speakers and performers built from the friends and colleagues that Mr. Lewis held so dear. We would be deeply honored and grateful to have your support for this seminal fundraiser for the Foundation.
